Yes — Psitta Studio runs in the browser, so it works on Windows, macOS, Linux, and Chromebooks alike, always on the latest version.

If you installed the earlier Psitta for Windows app, it keeps working and keeps receiving automatic updates. Your account is the same everywhere: sign in at studio.psitta.ai and your Library is right there. Mobile companions are on our roadmap.

PDF, DOCX, TXT, Markdown, HTML, and EPUB — import any of them from your Library's New File button and Psitta turns them into documents you can write, structure, and listen to.

Psitta needs an internet connection for voice synthesis and AI features, and your drafts also keep a local safety copy in your browser as you write — a dropped connection won't cost you a paragraph, and everything syncs when you're back.

Writing Studio is the complete Psitta platform: the full Writing Desk, unlimited projects, Blueprints with 25+ narrative structures, scene mapping and progress tracking, Story-Coach, the Structure Analyzer, AI assistance, and writing analytics — plus Reading & Revision with premium natural voices, word-level highlighting, and playback up to 4×.

Each billing period includes 250,000 premium voice characters and a generous AI allowance. If you use up the premium voice allowance, Psitta switches to standard voices for the rest of the period — playback never interrupts — and everything resets at your next billing cycle.

Your 14 free days start the moment you create your account — no card required. When they end, nothing is deleted: you can still open, read, and export everything you wrote. Creating and editing documents, AI features, and premium voices pause until you subscribe.

Subscribe any time from the Plans page — $17.99/month or $179.90/year (2 months free) — and you pick up exactly where you left off.

From the Plans page in the Studio, choose monthly or annual and click Subscribe — checkout is handled securely by Stripe, and your card is charged when you subscribe, never during the free trial. You can switch between monthly and annual, or cancel, at any time from Settings → Account → Manage subscription.

Creative Studio is coming soon. It builds on everything in Writing Studio and adds a full creative workspace — inside the same Psitta Studio, no separate app. It isn't purchasable yet; you can join the waitlist on the pricing page and we'll email you when it launches.

In the Studio, open Settings → Account → Manage subscription — this opens the Stripe billing portal where you can change plans, update your payment method, or cancel. Cancellations remain active through your current billing period.

It keeps working and keeps receiving automatic updates — nothing changes on your computer. Your account, documents, and projects are the same everywhere, so you can use the Windows app, the browser Studio, or both.

Most issues fall into a few categories — try these in order:

Document won't open or upload: Confirm the file is PDF, DOCX, TXT, MD, HTML, or EPUB and under 100 MB. If the file is corrupted or password-protected, Psitta won't be able to read it.

Voice won't play: Check your internet connection — Psitta needs a connection for voice synthesis. If it continues, refresh the page.

Something looks stuck: Refresh the browser tab, or sign out and back in — your account, documents, and progress are saved on our servers and restore on next sign-in.
